The Coaching
Six ways a physician changes how you work.
01Foundational
IMG Career Strategy & Roadmap
Your Caribbean-to-Attending Game Plan
Every successful match starts with a real strategy, not a checklist.
We start by understanding who you are (your background, strengths, risks, and goals) and build a clear, realistic roadmap from where you are today to Match Day. It does not matter whether you are in your first term with your first exam years away, or staring down an application cycle in months. This is where every coaching engagement begins, and it is the one conversation most Caribbean students never get to have.
Specialty feasibility and competitiveness analysis
An honest read of what is realistically reachable, so you plan from facts instead of fear
Visa and pathway risk mitigation
Quarterly milestone planning
02
USMLE Strategy & Study Optimization
Study Smarter. Score Higher. Protect the Match.
More resources will not fix a broken study plan.
Instead of piling on more UWorld, more Anki, and more regret, we align your preparation with your learning style, your Caribbean clinical calendar, and the residency you actually want. Step 2 CK is now the score programs weigh most, and the way Caribbean students prepare for it has to reflect that.
of OB-GYN positions went to IMGs in 2026 (96 of 1,638). Your score protects the specialties you can still reach.

What you get
Score-improvement strategy built around how you learn
Exam sequencing and timing optimization
Test-day readiness coaching
Burnout prevention and productivity systems
03
Personal Statement & Application Narrative
Turn Your Caribbean Journey Into Your Biggest Advantage
Programs read thousands of applications. Make sure yours tells a story they remember.
Your ERAS is the argument a program committee will use to decide if you belong in their residency. We build that argument line by line. No templates, no recycled phrasing, and no pretending your gaps and attempts do not exist. Red flags handled honestly beat red flags hidden poorly, every cycle.
applicants in the 2026 ERAS season. Your statement is the one part of the file written in your own voice.

What you get
Deep-dive narrative coaching (no templates, ever)
Specialty-specific positioning
Red-flag mitigation (gaps, attempts, time off)
ERAS CV and experiences optimization

Residency Interview Coaching
Walk Into Every Interview Like You Already Belong
Interview day is where programs decide whether they can see you as a colleague.
We prepare you the way we would prepare one of our own fellows: with physician-led mock interviews, specialty-specific behavioral training, and honest feedback you will not get from friends or family. By the time you walk in, the version of you the program meets is the version you want them to meet.
of programs count your interactions during interviews when they rank you, and they rate that 4.8 out of 5 for importance. Interview day is scored, not just survived.

What you get
Mock interviews with physician feedback
Behavioral and ethics question mastery
Confidence, presence, and communication coaching
Post-interview strategy and rank-list guidance

Re-Applicant & Rescue Coaching
Unmatched Does Not Mean Unqualified
Your next cycle does not have to look like your last one.
Reapplying without a real diagnosis of what went wrong last time is how you end up in the same place again. We read your prior cycle honestly (ERAS, personal statement, letters, interview record, match trail), tell you what signaled weak, and rebuild the application around what is actually recoverable. You get one or two shots at this. We make them count.
Caribbean medical students will not finish. If your last cycle went wrong, the next one does not have to.

What you get
Honest post-mortem analysis of your prior cycle
Gap-year optimization strategy
Specialty pivot evaluation
Rebranding and repositioning for your next submission

Mentorship, Accountability & Longitudinal Support
A Physician In Your Corner, From Day 1 to PGY-1
Careers are built over years, not calls.
Some seasons need weekly check-ins. Others need a trusted voice the week before your interview, the morning of your exam, or the night you get the news. Our longitudinal track is built for both, and it is the service our clients renew most.
of coaching, and skills, attitudes and results all improved. That research is from workplaces rather than medicine, so what it measures is coaching itself.

What you get
Ongoing check-ins on your cadence
Progress dashboards you will actually use
Real-time strategy adjustments
Access during high-stakes moments
How It Works
A clear path from where you are to Match Day.
Step 1
Free strategy call
A 20-minute call with Dr. Mickey to understand where you are and what you are up against.
Step 2
Diagnostic & roadmap
We read your scores, CV, timeline, and risk factors, then build a realistic plan from today to Match Day.
Step 3
Your scoped tracks
You engage the one or two coaching tracks that fit your situation, not a fixed package off a shelf.
Step 4
Application & interviews
We engineer your ERAS narrative and prepare you for interview season with physician-led mock interviews.
Step 5
Rank-list & Match strategy
We help you signal, rank, and position for the strongest Match outcome you can realistically reach.
Step 6
Longitudinal mentorship
A physician stays in your corner through the high-stakes moments, from Day 1 to PGY-1.
Packages
Early, mid-cycle, or rebuilding.
Four years out, inside the application cycle, or starting again after a year that went wrong. Each
of the three packages covers one of those, and Dr. Mickey coaches all of them himself. If none of
the three fits your case, he builds the fourth around it.
Most chosen
Match Package
The full application cycle, coached end to end.
One cycle decides where you train. This package covers the nine months that matter, from diagnostic to rank list, with every deliverable coached directly by Dr. Mickey.
Diagnostic assessment and full Match roadmap
ERAS narrative and personal statement, built line by line
Physician-led mock interviews with honest feedback
For re-applicants. Diagnose the last cycle, rebuild the next one.
A second unmatched cycle is usually the result of reapplying without a diagnosis. This package starts with an honest post-mortem of your prior cycle, then rebuilds the entire application around what is actually recoverable.
Post-mortem analysis: ERAS, personal statement, letters, interview record, match trail
Gap-year optimization and specialty pivot evaluation
Everything in the Match Package, rebuilt for your second submission
Repositioning strategy for the story programs will read this time
Your Match is decided years before ERAS opens. Scores, clinical grades, and letters are locked in long before application season, and a package that starts in your final year can only work with what already exists. Premium starts on Day 1, so every one of those inputs is built with a strategy behind it.
All six coaching tracks, engaged as your timeline demands
Longitudinal mentorship and accountability from first term through PGY-1
USMLE strategy before your scores are set, not after
Rescue support included if a cycle goes wrong
Access during high-stakes moments
$8,500 per year
or $29,500 paid in full for all four years. Monthly at $775. Enrollment is annual.
Your situation does not fit a card? We build the package around your case.
Some cases need one track, some need a combination no template predicts. On the free call Dr. Mickey reads your scores, timeline, and risk factors, then sends you a written, itemized scope with a fixed price before you commit. No payment is ever collected on the call.
Prices are in US dollars and confirmed in a written scope before you commit. Coaching and mentorship do not guarantee any exam score, residency match, or other outcome.
The Unmatched Client Policy
Coaching cannot guarantee a match, and we will not pretend otherwise. What we can guarantee is that you will not face a failed cycle alone. Match Package clients who complete the full program and go unmatched receive the Rescue Package post-mortem diagnostic at no charge, plus a $1,500 credit toward the Rescue rebuild. Premium clients have rescue support built into their package already.
Who You Work With
You coach directly with Dr. Mickey.
A Saba University valedictorian, board-certified physician, and serving Chief Medical Officer
who has coached 500+ students. You work with him directly,
not through an intermediary.
The Match Package is $6,900, the Rescue Package is $8,900, and Day 1 to PGY-1 Premium is $8,500 per year or $29,500 paid in full. If your situation does not fit one of the three, a Custom Package is scoped and priced on your free call; custom engagements typically begin around $4,500, and you receive a written, itemized quote before you commit. Installment plans are available on every package.
What happens if I do not match?
No coach can guarantee a match, and you should walk away from anyone who says otherwise. Match Package clients who complete the full program and go unmatched receive the Rescue post-mortem diagnostic at no charge and a $1,500 credit toward the Rescue rebuild. Premium clients have rescue support included.
Why does the Premium package cost more than the Match Package?
The Match Package works with the application you already have. Premium builds that application over four years, before your scores, grades, and letters are locked. The extra investment buys the years in which the inputs can still change.
How do I know which service I need?
You do not have to decide first. The free call is a diagnostic. Dr. Mickey reads your scores, timeline, and goals, then tells you which one or two tracks actually fit. You never buy a track you do not need. Published prices mean you know the investment before you ever book the call.
Can I combine more than one service?
Yes, and most students do. A typical engagement blends two or three tracks, and you can add or upgrade one at any point as your cycle unfolds.
How long does a typical coaching engagement last?
Most engagements run six to eighteen months, depending on where you enter the program and what you are working toward. A pre-clinical Caribbean student building a Step 1 plan looks different from an MS4 preparing for interview season, and both look different from a re-applicant rebuilding after an unmatched cycle. The free consultation is where we scope the realistic timeline for your situation before either of us commits.
How does residency match support actually work?
Match support is a suite of services, not a single deliverable. It engages at different stages: IMG Career Strategy sets the roadmap, Personal Statement and Application Narrative engineers your ERAS, Residency Interview Coaching prepares you for the interview season that decides the outcome, and Re-Applicant and Rescue Coaching is there if a cycle needs rebuilding. Most clients use two or three of these in combination, typically starting six to twelve months before ERAS opens. The free strategy call is where we scope which ones fit your situation.
Do you help with the personal statement and ERAS application itself?
Yes. Personal Statement and Application Narrative is one of our six core services, and it is where most of our clients see the largest visible improvement. The approach is narrative coaching, not templates. We build your ERAS around the story a program committee will actually use to decide on you, and gaps, attempts, and time off are addressed directly rather than hidden.
I went unmatched last cycle. How does Re-Applicant Rescue work?
The first call is diagnostic, not promotional. We read your ERAS, your personal statement, your letters, your interview record, and your match trail, and we give you an honest answer about what signaled weak and what is recoverable. From there we rebuild: gap-year plan, specialty-fit evaluation, re-submission strategy, and a new narrative for this cycle. Reapplying without that diagnosis is the single biggest reason IMGs go unmatched twice. It is not too late, but it is later than it was, so start early.
That is exactly what the free call is for. Dr. Mickey reads your case and tells you which one or two tracks actually fit, and what the next twelve months should look like.
Free. No obligation to enroll. We will tell you honestly if we are not the right fit.
