Terms & Conditions

Last updated: August 1, 2026

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Caribbean Medical Student website (the "Site") and the coaching, mentorship, and related services we offer (the "Services"). Caribbean Medical Student is a division of Medical Futures Group, LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). Please read these Terms carefully. By using the Site or engaging our Services, you agree to them.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing the Site, submitting an inquiry or intake form, booking a consultation, or purchasing any Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy practices. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or the Services.

2. Who We Are

Caribbean Medical Student provides physician-led coaching for Caribbean medical students and international medical graduates (IMGs), including guidance on USMLE strategy, clinical rotations, the residency application and interview process, and the Match. We are a division of Medical Futures Group, LLC, which is the entity that contracts with you and provides the Services under these Terms.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Services. If you are using the Services on behalf of another person, you represent that you are authorized to do so and to bind that person to these Terms.

4. The Coaching Services

Our Services are educational coaching and mentorship. Engagements are scoped to your situation and defined in a written proposal or quote we provide before you commit. The specific deliverables, schedule, and fees for any paid engagement are set out in that written agreement, which works alongside these Terms. Where the two conflict, the written engagement agreement controls for that engagement.

5. No Guarantee of Outcomes

We do not guarantee any specific result. Coaching can improve preparation, strategy, and confidence, but many factors outside our control affect outcomes. We make no guarantee that you will achieve any particular USMLE score, obtain ECFMG certification, secure interviews, match into a residency or fellowship, be admitted anywhere, or obtain licensure. Any examples, ranges, or timelines we discuss are illustrative, not promises.

6. Not Professional Advice

The Services and the content on the Site are for general educational purposes only. They are not medical, legal, financial, immigration, or tax advice, and they are not a substitute for the official rules, deadlines, and guidance of your medical school, the ECFMG, the NRMP, CaRMS, state or provincial licensing boards, or other governing bodies. You are responsible for verifying requirements and deadlines with those official sources and for your own decisions.

7. Free Consultation

The introductory 20-minute consultation is offered free of charge and carries no obligation to enroll. It is a coaching conversation, not a professional evaluation, and no payment is collected during it.

8. Fees, Payment, and Refunds

Fees for paid Services are stated in your written engagement agreement. Unless that agreement says otherwise, fees are due as scheduled there, and deposits or amounts for sessions already delivered are non-refundable. Refund eligibility, if any, is governed by that written agreement. We may use third-party payment processors, and your payment is also subject to their terms.

Published prices. Prices for our standard packages are published on the Services page in US dollars. Before you commit to any engagement we confirm the scope and the price in writing, and where a package is priced individually you receive a written, itemized scope first. Installment plans, where offered, are set out in the same written agreement, and the total paid under an installment plan may be higher than the pay-in-full price. No payment is ever collected during the free consultation. A published price is an invitation to discuss an engagement, and nothing on this site is an offer capable of acceptance or a binding quotation.

The Unmatched Client Policy. Where the Services page describes a credit or a complimentary diagnostic for a client who completes a program and does not match, that commitment applies on the terms stated there and is confirmed in your written engagement agreement. It is not a guarantee of any outcome. Nothing we provide guarantees an exam score, a residency match, or any other result.

Which document wins. If your signed written engagement agreement says anything different from these Terms about the scope of work, fees, refunds, or cancellation, the engagement agreement governs for those subjects. These Terms continue to apply to everything else, including your use of this site.

9. Scheduling, Cancellations, and No-Shows

Sessions are booked in advance through our scheduling tools. If you need to reschedule, please give reasonable advance notice. Sessions missed without notice, or cancelled with short notice, may be forfeited or charged as set out in your engagement agreement.

10. Your Responsibilities and Acceptable Use

You agree to provide accurate information, to engage in good faith, and to use the Site and Services lawfully. You will not misuse the Site, attempt to disrupt it, infringe others' rights, or use the Services to gain unfair advantage in any way that violates the rules of an exam, school, or application process. You are responsible for the integrity of your own applications and submissions.

11. Confidentiality and No Protected Health Information

We treat the personal information you share for coaching as confidential and use it to deliver the Services. In return, you agree to keep confidential any non-public materials, methods, or feedback we share with you. Please do not submit protected health information (PHI) or patient identifiers through the Site or during coaching. The Services are career coaching, not clinical care, and are not covered by HIPAA.

12. Intellectual Property and Trademarks

The Site and our coaching materials, frameworks, templates, and content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use materials we provide solely for your own coaching. You may not copy, resell, redistribute, or publicly share them without our written permission.

Why these names appear. Our references to these marks are nominative and descriptive. They identify the examinations, organizations, and processes we help clients prepare for, and there is no practical way to describe that work without naming them. Institution names and logos shown on this Site identify organizations at which Shalabh Bansal trained or held a professional role. They describe his background and do not indicate any current relationship, partnership, sponsorship, or endorsement.

If you own a mark used here. If you are the owner of a trademark referenced on this Site and believe it is used incorrectly, please contact us through the form on our Book a Call page and we will review it promptly.

13. Testimonials and Results

Any testimonials or examples of past client experiences reflect individual results and are not a promise of your results. Individual outcomes vary based on each person's background, effort, and circumstances.

14. Third-Party Services and Links

The Site may embed or link to third-party services (for example, a scheduling tool, an email provider, and the separate USMLEtutor question bank at usmletutor.com). We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices. Your use of them is governed by their own terms and policies.

15. Privacy

Information you submit through the Site (for example, your name, email, and the details you share in an intake form) is used to respond to you and deliver the Services. We do not sell your personal information. Our handling of your information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms, and the cookies this site uses are listed in our Cookie Policy. If you are in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area, Canada, or a US state with its own privacy statute, the Privacy Policy also sets out the specific rights you have and how to exercise them.

16. Disclaimers

The Site and the Services are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

17. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost opportunities, arising out of or related to the Site or the Services. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services will not exceed the amount you paid us for the specific Service giving rise to the claim.

18. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Medical Futures Group, LLC and its officers, employees, and contractors from claims, losses, and expenses arising out of your misuse of the Site or Services or your breach of these Terms.

19. Termination

We may suspend or end your access to the Site or the Services if you breach these Terms or misuse the Services. You may stop using the Services at any time; the terms of any paid engagement will continue to apply as written.

20. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that any dispute relating to these Terms or the Services will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Georgia, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

If you are a consumer in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area, or another country whose law gives you non-waivable protections, nothing in these Terms takes those protections away. You keep any mandatory rights you have under the law of your country of residence, including the right to bring proceedings in your local courts where that law entitles you to. Where a provision of these Terms conflicts with a protection you cannot waive, that protection applies and the rest of these Terms continue in force. This includes the limitations in sections 16 and 17, which apply only so far as your local law allows.

21. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Site or Services after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
